Montana Air Filming is a locally owned, veteran-owned, and family-owned drone services company providing professional aerial imaging, inspections, and data collection for landowners, businesses, and public agencies across the Flathead Valley and throughout Montana. We combine disciplined, safety-focused flight operations with a practical understanding of Montana’s terrain, industries, and working landscapes.

Our mission is straightforward: to deliver accurate, reliable aerial information while operating safely, legally, and with respect for the land and people we serve. Whether documenting construction progress, inspecting roofs and infrastructure, monitoring agricultural property and livestock, or supporting assessment and search efforts, we focus on results that help clients make informed, confident decisions.

Operating under FAA Part 107 certification, Montana Air Filming adheres to strict safety, airspace, and risk-management standards. We utilize high-resolution visual imaging, professional flight planning, and proven mapping workflows to reduce on-site hazards, save time, and improve operational efficiency. Every project is approached with clear communication, careful planning, and deliverables designed for real-world use — not generic outputs.

As a family rooted in the Flathead Valley, community is not an afterthought — it is central to who we are. We are parents with children in local schools, and members of our family are locally employed in public service. We understand firsthand how important it is to look out for one another, especially in rural and mountain communities. In addition to commercial work, Montana Air Filming is committed to supporting the community when aviation technology can genuinely help. When appropriate and feasible, we assist with pet recovery, lost animal searches, and need-based aerial support, particularly in areas where terrain or conditions limit ground efforts. These flights are conducted with careful coordination, legal compliance, and a strong emphasis on safety and respect for privacy.

Based near Kalispell, we understand the challenges of operating in mountainous environments, variable weather, rural properties, and complex airspace. That local knowledge allows us to plan smarter flights and deliver dependable results where experience and judgment matter most.

Behind the Scenes

Who We Are

We’re Kraig and Liesel Schlueter, the team behind Montana Air Filming. This company has been a long time in the making — built from years of experience, shared values, and a deep respect for both aviation and community service.

Together, we bring 8–10 years of combined experience in drone operations, photography, and aerial filming. Both of us work in public safety and are FAA Part 107 licensed remote pilots, with safety and responsible drone operations central to every project we take on. From airspace planning and risk assessment to execution and post-flight review, we approach every mission with the same discipline and care required in public safety work.

We are passionate about what we do and equally passionate about the community we serve. As a family rooted here in Montana, we understand the importance of trust, reliability, and looking out for one another. We’re a family of five — plus four dogs, five cats, a horse, and a couple of reptiles we proudly count as family too — and that sense of responsibility and care carries into every project we take on.
